Alqueria Colomer - Javea valley
A beautiful old building built in 1691 by the Marqués of Colomer over a period of five years.
The Alqueria during it's prime was the biggest farmhouse of it's kind and reigned over most of the Javea valley , farming crops and tending to livestock.
On the main facade we can see a small turret which indicates that it was also built as a semi - fortress to guard the premises against pirate attacks and the fighting during the war of succesion.
The Javea valley makes a lovely spot for walking or cycling through the country lanes and the Alqueria is sign posted from the Jesus Pobre entrance.
Today this glorious building is privately owned.
